Problem solving in teams

Corkscrew is a challenging exercise designed to improve problem solving and cooperation in teams.

Each member of the team is given unique information which, when shared with the other team members, will help them to answer the question, "What is the vintage of this bottle of wine?". The information can be shared verbally but not visually.

No individual in the team has enough information to be sure what the task really involves or how it may be done. The team must develop a common understanding about the nature of the problem and the objective.

This exercise requires full participation from all team members.

Corkscrew is an excellent game to help team members understand the cooperative process, work more effectively in teams and to find solutions to complex problems.
